Have we ever had a period of time in a football season with this amount of rain? The awful weather has caused a huge amount of postponements for non-league clubs up and down the country. The bad news is there's more wet weather forecast for this week as well.
The Football Association has told clubs there will be no extension to the season at Steps five and six of the non-league ladder with games that won't involve clubs with a possibility of promotion or relegation may be rescheduled to no later than Saturday 4th May.
Here we look at some of our local clubs in the Spartan South Midlands League and how many fixtures they have to complete in just over two months.
To date Shefford Town & Campton have played just under 2/3rds of their league season's games and will have to complete the remaining 1/3rd by Saturday 20th April as well as play their Premier Division Cup Quarter Final against Real Bedford - If they win this game they'll have to add the Semi-Final to the list!
