Southall were the better side in the first half but the game changed early in the second period when their right back Alcino Souza Santos was red carded for a challenge that I didn't see so can't comment on.
It was looking like the game was going end 0-0 with Southall defending well but it was Connor Coyne who scored a very late goal from close range to send the home side through to play Redhill away in the next round this coming weekend. Coyne was the scorer of both goals against Southall when Deal Town had played them in the FA Vase back in the 19/20 season.
Southall played extremely well and can consider themselves very unlucky not to at least get another chance with a replay - They have since lost 6-3 in a local derby at North Greenford United and got back to winning ways this weekend with a 5-0 home win over Ascot United.
Southall's former Potters Bar Town goalkeeper Berkley Laurencin was excellent throughout and can consider himself very unlucky to not keep a clean-sheet.
