The 22/23 season was one to forget for Harlow Town as problems with their pitch ended with them making the very difficult decision to withdraw from senior football in December.
Thankfully The Hawks have returned and will play in the Step Six Thurlow Nunn First Division South for the 23/24 which is two below the Southern League Division One Central Division they were playing at last campaign.
The playing surface at The Pardous Wealth Stadium looked in great condition for their first home game back which was pre-season friendly game against Essex Senior League side Takeley.
As you'll see from the pictures there was a very impressive crowd giving some great support to The Hawks - Many fans were obviously more than happy to see their team back in action.
They had lost 6-1 at Romford in their first game on Saturday but it was all different as they looked very good going forward and won the game 3-2 with all the goals scored in the first half. Some highlights are below - I missed some of the goals due to the horrible weather conditions. Check out Harlow Town FC TV for their official highlights.
Check out the save made by the Harlow Town goalkeeper in the second half below - Decent!!
The Hawks are back in action tomorrow afternoon when London Colney visit followed by Harpenden Town on Tuesday evening. They then travel to Coggeshall Town on Saturday 15th July before welcoming Brightlingsea Regent on Tuesday 18th July.
