A NARROW WIN FOR BALDOCK TOWN AT GOLDSDOWN ROAD

The Cold End paid a visit to Goldsdown Road on Wednesday night to see the Hertfordshire Senior County Premier Division game between Goffs Oak (in seventh place prior to this game) and Baldock Town for whom a win would of put them top of the table in this game.

Goffs Oak are spending their first season in the Premier Division (Step 7) of the Hertfordshire Senior County League  and are having a good season with Baldock losing only one game up until their  seventeen league games. They and Met Policy Bushey are involved in a straight fight for the title with Baldock still having two games in hand over their rivals after this game.
The squad list as per programme
You’ll see from the pictures and footage that Goldsdown Road has changed since The Town moved out over the summer. Enfield 1893 FC have built a new main stand and extended the terracing on the far side.
The ground is also now home to Akincilar FC who are top of the Turkish Community Football Federation Ezel Division One. They play on Sunday’s alongside such teams as Iskele, Koture and Pekunspor amongst others.

Goffs Oak were unlucky not to get anything from the game but it was Baldock who narrowly collected the three points with a 0-1 win courtesy of an own goal.

Goffs had two good shouts for penalty kicks at the end of the first half (from 2mins on the video) and in particular right at the end of the game (from 4mins 25secs)
