Sixteenth placed Kingsbury London Tigers faced eighteenth placed Holmer Green in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division this afternoon at Silver Jubilee Park. The Tigers have always been one of the cold end's favourite teams to watch in the SSMFL as they always play good football and their games always involve goals. Their last five results prior to today's game only demonstrates this as they've been -
D3-3, W4-3, L0-3, W6-1 and L4-3.
The visitors from Buckinghamshire put in a solid display with a more direct style than the home side who had the better opportunities throughout the game. It wasn't exactly a classic or vintage performance from either side but an entertaining one all the same.
What must be disappointing for the home side is they are bottom of the average crowd table with just 23 spectators watching the game today. Their average stands at just 24 people at present. Readers will know their are two more well known SJP's, being the stadium's of Newcastle United and Exeter City. The cold end recommends a visit to London's SJP to any football fan.
The highest league crowd the Tigers have had since the start of the 2006 season is 72 against Oxhey Jets on the 16th December 2006. They have had a three figure crowd when 108 people watched their FA Cup game with Eton Manor on Sunday 17th August 2008.
