STOTFOLD THROUGH THE GLADWISH TROPHY SEMI-FINAL WITH NARROW VICTORY OVER AMPTHLL TOWN

A decent crowd of 162 people saw the local derby game in the Spartan South Midlands League Gladwish Challenge Trophy on Tuesday evening as Stotfold beat Ampthill Town 2-1. The home side took the lead in the third minute when Joe Sutton was able to get on the end of Codi Spavins cross from the right hand side of the penalty box. The game was a real scrappy affair until Ampthill Town equalised with around 5 minutes to go when Josh Peacock poked the ball home from close range to the delight of his team mates and travelling fans.

Stotfold took the lead almost instantly when Jordan Stevenson headed after a free kick was lifted into the box which made the final score 2-1.
