SYDNEY IBIE'S TWO GOALS HELPS NORTHWOOD TO A WIN AT HERTFORD TOWN

It was a Step Four v Step Four pre-season friendly yesterday as Isthmian South-Central side Northwood visited Southern League Division One Central side Hertford Town for a 1pm kick off.

It was the visitors who were the better side for the first half an hour or so with Sydney Ibie scoring twice and having chances to secure a hat-trick. Northwood also hit the post as The Blues gradually grew into the game which was not unlike their game against St Panteleimon I had seen on Tuesday evening.

Their patient possession based play building from the back finally paid off just before the break when they scored to make it 1-2 at half time.

Ibie was replaced just after the break with the visitors continuing to look the better side rattling the cross bar on 58 minutes.

The final score was 1-2. Some pictures of the game are below.
