EIGHT GOALS AT FORD PARKE - THE STAGZ TRIUMPH IN PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY OVER LANGFORD

FOR THE FIRST HALF AN HOUR OF THE GAME IT WAS DEFINATELY ONE TO WATCH WITH SOME COVER FROM THE HEAVY RAIN - IT DIDN'T FEEL LIKE JULY!!

Step Six Langford welcomed Step Seven Hatfield Town to Forde Park last night for a pre-season friendly that was highly entertaining - Incredibly it was 3-2 after the first 25 minutes which was played in the pouring rain. Thanfully the weather cleared up for the remainder of the game although it was a little bit chillier than usual for a summer's evening.

The Stagz had announced their new boss as Raymond Dadzie just prior to kick off and he looks to have assembled an impressive squad for the forthcoming Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division season.

Going forward, as the score-line suggests, both sides looked decent with Markel Cousins for Langford on the left hand side of midfield - He scored Langford's first and played a part in all three goals. Definitely a name to look out for in the 2021/22 season.

Hatfield Town scored another two more goals in the second half to make the final score 3-5.

It's early days under the management of Dadzie but it all looks to be promising time for the club for the future.

Langford start their Spartan South Midlands League Division One campaign next Tuesday evening with a short away trip to face Ampthill Town.

Hatfield Town have games against Totternhoe, Edgware Town and Knebworth as well as a first v reserves game prior to their league campaign starting in mid-August.
