The race for The Cherry Red Records Combined Counties Premier Division North title is looking like it's going to go right down to the wire as Rayners Lane and Flackwell Heath have both played 28 games and are currently on 67 points.

Both have lost only their third game of the season in their last six games played. Flackwell Heath lost 0-2 at home to Harefield United on Saturday in front of a crowd of 268 people at Wilks Park which came just two weeks after they had won 0-2 at Rayners Lane on Saturday 24th February.

Chris Ayres has been The Heathen's Manager since October 2021.

Rayners Lane made some headlines last June when they appointed Gary Meakin as Manager. He replaced Scott Patmore who had been very successful during his spell with the club helping them to win the Middlesex Premier Cup in 2023 and gain promotion via the 2022/23 Division One play-offs beating London Samurai Rovers and Langley.

Meakin had been manager at Beaconsfield Town (Beaconsfield SYCOB), Egham Town, Burnham, Northwood and Wingate & Finchley previously.
his Assistant Wes Daly played for a number of non-league clubs (including Basingstoke Town, Bromley and AFC Wimbledon) after starting his career with Queens Park Rangers.
