This was a game many fans will talk about for months and years to come as relegation threatened Hoddesdon Town drew 2-2 with already demoted London Colney in an incident packed 90 minutes on Thursday 6th April.
London Colney goals were both scored in the first half via Daniel Parkinson and Tommy Pidgeon with Connor Bolton scoring for Hoddy who made it 2-2 in the second half via a fantastic Archie Locke strike from outside of the box.
The game will be remembered for three incidents as shown below -
1) Hoddesdon Town tackle on London Colney player that wasn't even given as a foul and arguably could of been a red card.
2) Hoddesdon Town player red carded for this tackle in the second half.
3) London Colney player red carded for this incident right at the end of the game.
For London Colney it's been a difficult season with only a few highlights including the game played after this one on Saturday 8th April when they won 2-3 at Tring Athletic. It's time to regroup and go again next season in Division One.
For Hoddesdon Town it's going down to the wire as they have lost at Cockfosters (6-1) and at home to Harpenden Town (0-1) and Ardley United (1-3) after this game.
Taking a look at the league table and the two games they have left are set to be nail biting and exciting ones as they host Colney Heath on Tuesday evening and then travel to Arlesey Town next Saturday. Colney Heath lost 2-11 to Risborough Rangers on Saturday!
If Colney Heath win on Tuesday evening it will put them on 30 points and relegate Hoddesdon Town. If it's a draw it will go down to the final game of the season.
