They were members of the same Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division last season but for the 2019/20 season New Salamis will be members of the Spartan South Midlands League Division One after a second placed finish in the table saw them promoted to Step Six of the non-league ladder.
The two sides played a pre-season friendly on Saturday at Wodson Park with New Salamis running out 1-7 winners. New Salamis have a newly formed reserve side who will play in the Hertfordshire Senior County League Division One of the new season - they also played on Saturday winning 5-2 against Middlesex County League side NW London at the New River Stadium.
Ware Sports have been one of the most consistent teams in the Herts County Premier over the past three seasons finishing in 4th, 3rd and 4th places - they will be looking at bettering that this season. The fixtures of the Herts County have yet to be released.
New Salamis start their season with two away games to Hillingdon Borough on Saturday 3rd August then Enfield Borough on Tuesday 6th August. Their first home game is against Milton Keynes Robins on Saturday 10th August.
