LEVERSTOCK GREEN THROUGH TO THE SECOND QUALIFYING ROUND OF THE FA CUP

For only the second time in their history Leverstock Green are in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup thanks to a 0-1 replay victory over fellow Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Hadley. After a 0-0 draw at Pancake Lane on Saturday 8th September it was another tight game on Wednesday 12th September at Potters Bar Town.

Chris Blunden's 77th minute low free kick from the edge of the box settled the tie tie as the ball crept in off the post to spark scenes of celebration from Leverstock Green's travelling support, players and management.

Hadley continued to pile on the pressure towards the end of the game with former Hackney Wick player Jeff Idemudia looking good in midfield and attack throughout the game.

Leverstock Green host Bostik Premier Division side Dorking Wanderers in the second qualifying round this Saturday.
