HATFIELD TOWN CLOSE TO RESCUING A POINT AGAINST HODDESDON TOWN RESERVES

SEATS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE BIRCHWOOD LEISURE CENTRE BUT YOU'LL HAVE TO BE EARLY.

A goal in either half for Hoddesdon Town Reserves was enough for them to pick up an important three points at Hatfield Town yesterday afternoon. The win puts them up to second place in the league table below Sandridge Rovers who won 4-0 at home to Ware Sports. New River Athletic who were top on Saturday morning lost 0-1 at home to Cockfosters Reserves.

On a wet and horrible day weather wise the home side played well in spells and could of (and I think very unlucky not to) rescued a point with a late goal and then a free kick from outside the box which rebounded of the angle of post and bar.

Club Chairman and Manager Johnny Shearer (who took over the running of the club in the summer) was missing today but he had a very good reason - He became a father at 4.45am on Saturday morning. Congratulations to him and his family on the new arrival.

The Blue Boys travel to Bush Hill Rangers next weekend before hosting Division One cub Buntingford Town in the Aubery Cup on Saturday 26th October.

Below are details of how you can get involved in sponsorship of the club - If you are a local business please get in contact and help The Blue Boys out.
