THE HOME SIDE REFLECT ON THE PITCH AFTER THEIR VICTORY LAST NIGHT
Arlesey Town entertained fellow Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Potton United in the first round of the Bedfordshire Senior Cup First Round last night and came away with an impressive 4-1 win. The visitors had some good play in the first ten minutes rattling the cross bar from the edge of the box after some good build up play but from then on in it was a hard working Arlesey Town who scored two goals in each half to move into the second round in front of a crowd of 92 people.
Ash Fuller, James Hatch, Ryan Lamond and Lorrell Smith scored their goals. Lamond was named man of the match due to his one goal (his first in three years) and two assists. I thought Demi Debola playing at left back also had a fantastic game.
Town's next game is an important league fixture at home to Colney Heath. United face a tough away fixture at currently second placed Tring Athletic as they look to address their losing run of five matches.
