Bungay Town's Maltings Meadow home is a wonderful place to watch football with a quirky fact being that despite the main town being in Suffolk the club's home ground lies just over the border in Norfolk with the only time the team have played a home game in their home county since formation in 1925 has been temporary arrangements at Outney Common and Honeypot Meadow.
The Black Dog's, as they are nicknamed, first team play in Division One of the Hadley and Ottaway Anglian Combination which is Step Eight on the non-league ladder with their reserves playing in Division Four (Step eleven) who entertained AC Mill Lane on Tuesday evening.
Maltings Meadow has a lovely old wooden stand and a modern club house and bar that many clubs above them in football pyramid would love to have - alongside the playing surface which was in tip top condition it makes for superb venue.
It's been a difficult season for the Suffolk club's reserve side as they will finish fourteenth of fifteen sides in Division Four and more than likely be relegated to Division Five South for the 2019/20 campaign.
AC Mill Lane had made the trip from the Great Yarmouth/Gorleston area and their 0-3 victory on a deceptively chilly evening has given them an outside chance of finishing in the top two of the division. Their goals were scored all in the second half via Ethan Mills and two from Liam Williams. Their goalkeeper Jake Parker had made a good penalty save in the first half and a good number of other stops to keep his side in the game - he was rightly named Man of the Match by their social media feed.
Tomorrow they host table topper's Castle Acre Swifts in the league in a very important game for both sides as you can see from the league table below. They were formed in 2011 and are have progressed well through the Great Yarmouth Sunday League, Great Yarmouth & District League and the Lowestoft and District League.
