BUKELE MUKUDI DOUBLE SENDS ARLESEY TOWN THROUGH TO THE SEMI-FINAL
It was Premier Division v Division One in the Spartan South Midlands League Challenge Trophy Quarter-Final last Tuesday evening as Arlesey Town entertained Park View.
The hosts have had a season of ups and downs so far with Chico Ramos taking over as Manager in November and they currently find themselves towards the bottom of the Premier Division with just four wins in twenty-three league games.
Park View, who are based at the New River Sports Stadium in Wood Green, are towards the bottom of the Division One table and have reserved their best form for this competition beating Mursley United in the First Round before beating Premier Division clubs Tring Athletic and Newport Pagnell Town to set up their trip to Bedfordshire.
On a freezing night (the wind definitely made it feel below zero!) at New Lamb Meadow it was Arlesey Town who came out on top with a double from Bukele Mukudi on 71 and 86 minutes.
The visitors, managed by Raymond Dadzie, had some good spells with Taku Madziya showing some good touches going forward but never really troubled Alfie Hickman in the home goal.
Arlesey Town now travel to Division Two Old Bradwell United in the semi-final with the other tie being Potton United v Hillingdon Borough or MK Robins.
