The race for the title in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division is looking an exciting one with Chatham Town and Sheppey United currently best placed with Glebe still in with a shout in third place. Deal Town are in fourth place on 47 points from 22 games played.

Chatham currently have an average league attendance of 627 which is above 14 step 2 sides including Oxford City, Welling United and Braintree Town. A huge crowd of 1,876 were present at The Bauvill Stadium on Monday 3rd January to see The Chats defeat Sheppey United 2-0 in the top of the table clash. Sheppey's average of 388 isn't too shabby either!!
There in only one fixture left between the top three as Chatham Town make the trip to Foxbury Avenue to play Glebe on Saturday 5th March - I'm sure the league leaders will be looking at exacting some revenge for their 2-4 defeat at home in October which is only one of their two league defeats so far - the other was in August against Sheppey United.

At the bottom of the table it's been a tough time since the beginning of November for Lordswood as they have lost 11 and drawn 1 of their last 12 league games scoring just 6 goals and letting in 40. The Lords have only won 2 league games all season with a 1-3 victory at Rusthall in October and a 0-1 win at Welling Town in September.
WHO WILL WIN THE SOUTHERN COUNTIES EAST LEAGUE TITLE?
