Clapton Community Football Club Ladies Team were history makers yesterday as they became the first seventh tier side to reach the Third Round of the FA Womens Cup and also the first team to beat a team from four divisions higher with their win on kicks from the penalty mark against Hounslow Women yesterday.

Clapton CFC currently play in The Greater London Womens Football League Premier Division.

A truly incredible achievement from everyone involved.  Argyle play at the same level at Hounslow and are currently 12th in the 14 team table of which Hounslow are 14th.

They have beaten Keynsham Town 3-5 away and AFC St Austell at home on Sunday by 4-2 to get to the Third Round stage.

Before their game down in Devon the team travel to play Enfield Town Ladies 3rd Team in a league game next Sunday 5th December.
