Takeley and Basildon United are the early front runners in the ESL title race - both teams have 100% winning records with Takeley playing five games and United playing four games.
Takeley have won every league and cup game they have played so far - they have faced Tower Hamlets and Wivenhoe Town in the Emirates FA Cup where they now face Bostik North side Cheshunt. Stuart Zanone has scored eight goals in the seven games they have played. He has scored goals wherever he has played in his career - he counts The Ambers among one of his former sides so he will be relishing returning to Theobalds Lane and putting in a good performance.
They are closely followed by Great Wakering Rovers, West Essex, FC Romania, Ilford and Barkingside in the table - just six points seperate the top seven.
The other sides left in the Emirates FA Cup are Clapton and FC Romania. The Ton's host Bostik Premier Needham Market in one of the biggest games in a long time for the East London side - Their fan's group (The Clapton Ultras) continue their boycott of home games due to their protest against the current ownership of the club. FC Romania travel to Brickfield Lane to play Hadley FC of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.
Wadham Lodge are bottom of the table with five games played and unfortunately five defeats - They host thirteenth placed Stansted tonight. FC Romania (4th) v Ilford (5th) is the stand out game tonight.
