It was a good day for AFC Dunstable at the top of the Spartan South Midlands League yesterday. Goals from Leon Cashman and BJ Christie saw them record a good 2-0 home win versus Holmer Green who had won four out of their last five league games. Hoddesdon Town will see their 2-2 home draw versus Colney Heath as two points dropped or possibly one gained as they were 1-2 down on 90 minutes until substitute Tommy Wade scored to make it all square. London Colney drew 0-0 away at Cockfosters where they did miss a penalty kick.
Looking at the table you'd say AFC Dunstable are probably favourites but six of their last seven games are away from home. Hoddesdon Town have three home games from five remaining and London Colney have four home games of eight remaining.
Could it all go down to an exciting final day of the season with all three teams on the road at Welwyn Garden City, Holmer Green and Stotfold?
