Ebbsfleet United looked like they were going to run away with the Vanarama South title earlier in the season and with it win promotion back to the Vanarama National League they left in 2013 but eleven dropped points in their last eight games coupled with the amazing form of both Maidstone United and Sutton United have produced what will be an amazing end to the campaign.
All three teams won today - Sutton United won 2-1 at home to Eastbourne Borough, Maidstone United won 1-2 at St Albans City and Ebssfleet United recorded a resounding 0-5 victory at Hayes and Yeading.
And what a game in store it is on Tuesday when Sutton United make the journey to The Gallagher Stadium to play Maidstone United. The best result for Ebbsfleet fans is a draw I think - then in two weeks time they travel to Gander Green Lane so there are a few twists and turns to go yet.
The bookmakers still make Ebbsfleet odds on favourites at 4/7 with The Stones at 4/1 and Sutton United at 5/1- Could they be a value punt?
