The title race in the Ryman Division One (North) swung towards Needham Market on Tuesday evening after their 1-3 victory at Brentwood Town. This was the game in hand they had over The Hawks and it now puts them five points ahead. However, with a total of 24 points still to play for, all is not over.

This weekend The Marketmen travel to Cray Wanderers who are second bottom in the table and looking at a second successive relegation in as many seasons. Harlow Town are also on the road travelling to seventh placed Dereham Town who need to win to keep in touch with the play-off places.

Next weekend (Saturday 21st March) Harlow welcome Brightlingsea Regent and Needham Market are at home to Waltham Abbey.

The big game comes on Saturday 18th April when Harlow Town travel to Needham Market on the second last game of the season.

The final game of the season sees Needham travel to Chatham Town and Harlow Town host Thamesmead Town.

As the league position's stand it's The Hawks who have the slightly easier run in playing teams with an average position of 12th with Needham playing teams with an average of 10th.
