HATFIELD HIT FIVE VERSUS AMERSHAM

Match played on Tuesday 10th March 2015

Amersham Town's miserable form continued last Tuesday evening when they travelled to Hatfield Town who are well in the promotion race being currently placed second in the table. Going into the game Amersham had one solitary win on their travels this season coming on Wednesday 1st October 2014 when they won 1-2 at Chesham United Reserves. Their last win came back on Saturday 18th October 2014 when they won 4-1 at home to Arlesey Town Reserves - since then, prior to this game, their form read LLLLLLLLDLLLLLLLLL.

Foul - inside the box?
Free Kick given outside the box
The game went to form with the home side dominating things throughout. They went in at half-time 1-0 up but could of been awarded a penalty when the referee blew up for a free-kick for a foul which looking back at the replay was committed inside the box. They ran in four further goals in the second half with Amersham scoring from a penalty kick late on.

The Cold End has long been a fan of Amersham Town boss John Creith - He was in charge at Kentish Town from 2010 to 2014. There is no doubt in my mind with a quality football man in charge building for the future things will improve for Amersham Town. An interview with him from June 2014 can be found here
