Saturday sees the amazing fans of YB SK Beveren visit North London for the Ryman Premier Division game between Enfield Town and Leatherhead. Over the past few seasons the clubs have become great friends with Beveren visiting Enfield in 2013 and The Town travelling over to Belgium in the summer of 2014.
However, these occasions are not the first time a team from Belgium have visited Enfield. On Monday 7th August 1972 the old Enfield FC welcomed 'Royal Crossing De Schaevbeck' to Southbury Road. Below is the team sheet for the game which The E's won 2-0 with goals from Adams and Richards.
Royal Crossing merged with 'VV Elewijt' in 1991 to become 'KVV Crossing Elewijt' and currently plays in the Brabant Regional League.
