WOODFORD UNITED STILL SEARCHING FOR WIN

Woodford United are still bottom of the Evo -Stik Southern League Central Divison having lost all of their games so far. The question is will it be an amazing twenty-six games and counting waiting for a win following the visit of Guildford City (7th place) on Saturday? Just a few wins for Woodford and they could climb above North Greenford United in 21st place with only one team scheduled to go down.

North Greenford United's only win so far has come against Woodford United (1-0) on the opening day of the season. Thier only other point came in a surprise 1-1 draw away at Godalming Town whom are currently top of the table.

Woodford's twenty fourth game which came at Barton Rovers on Tuesday 5th February was nearly the cause for major celebration with the result looking to end 1-1 but a goal conceded in the last few minutes made it 2-1 on the night. They followed this game up with a 5-0 defeat away at Fleet Town last Saturday.

Guildford thrashed Leighton Town (19th place) 0-6 away from home last weekend so there could be a chance of Woodford conceding their 100th league goal of the season tomorrow if the result goes to form. They currently have a goals conceded total of 96 with seventeeen more games to play.

North Greenford United travel to Woodford United on Tuesday 9th April for the return league game. I wonder if both teams will be on no wins and one wins by then? United entertain Barton Rovers tomorrow afternoon.
