KINGSTONIAN COME TO TOWN
Enfield Town welcome Kingstonian to The Queen Elizabeth Stadium on Saturday for another all important Ryman Premier Division game. The K's come to North London as play-off contenders and with three games in hand over leader's Whitehawk they could also be rated as serious title contenders. Should Alan Dowson's side win the trio of games it would put them just two points below the favourites with the two sides yet to play each other yet. In fact The K's have a journey down to Brighton next Tuesday which puts an added importance on this game as they will want to keep the pressure right on The Hawks.
Kingstonian are currently fourth in the league form table winning four, drawing one and losing one of their last six games. Town are in tenth place winning three and losing three. On their travels in the Ryman League Premier Division The K's have played twelve games winning five, drawing one and losing six. They have scored twenty times and let in twenty three goals.
Their last game was played on Saturday 9th February where they recorded a 9-3 home victory over Cray Wanderers. Here is some information about some of the players whom played in that game and will be facing Enfield Town on Saturday -
Rob Tolfrey (Goalkeeper) - Has played for Horsham, Whyteleafe and Crawley Town previously. Has been with The K's for a few seasons now and has made the number 1 shirt his own.
Kieran Murphy (Defender) - Born in Kingston. Another player with football league experience playing for MK DONS. Also previously with Boston United, Ilkeston (where he was player of the yeat) and Carshalton Athletic. As a young player represented the Republic of Ireland Under 21's.
Ian Gayle (Defender) - 20 year old highly regarding player currently on loan from League Two side Dagenham and Redbridge. Had a very successful spell on loan last season and has recently rejoined the Kingsmeadow club and made three appearances so far. Born in Welling in Kent he has made eight appearances for Blue Square North side Histon during another loan spell earlier in the season. Has also played for St Neots Town on loan and is contracting to John Still's side until June 2013.
Aaron Goode (Defender) - Started his career at Walton and Hersham under current boss Alan Dowson where his performances earned him a move to Queens Park Rangers. Featured in the reserve side at Loftus Road before dropping back into the non-league game with Tooting and Mitcham United.
Matt Somner (Midfielder) - Very experienced player having represented Brentford and Notts County in the football league. Also played for Cambridge United, Mansfield Town, Forest Green Rovers and Lewes. Was capped at under 21 by the Welsh national team.
Matt Pattison (Midfielder) - Creative play maker who has played for Walton and Hersham, Farnbrough, Rushden and Diamonds and Basingstoke Town.
Nathan Koranteng (Midfielder/Forward) - Recent signing from Tonbridge Angels. Former Peterbrough United youth player. Three goals in five games so far.

Lewis Taylor (Midfielder) - A youth team player with Fulham who has also played for AFC Wimbledon and Tonbridge Angels. Scorer of the winning goal for the Angels in their Ryman Premier 2011 play-off final against Lowestoft Town.
Paul Vines (Striker) - A recent signing from Cray Wanderers. Was with the club in 2005 and scored his first goal in this spell last weekend against his former club. Also played for Bromley, Beckenham Town and Tooting and Mitcham United.
Andre McCollin (Striker) - Started in the non-league game with Corinthian Casuals and Fisher Athletic. Moved into the football league with Yeovil Town from 2008 to 2010 before dropping back down into the non-league game with Farnbrough and Croydon Athletic. Made 29 appearances so far this season scoring 14 goals.
Wade Small (Striker) - Another ex football league player. Started at Wimbledon and stayed with The Dons when they controversially moved to Milton Keynes. Also represented Sheffield Wednesday, Blackpool, Charlton Athletic, Chesterfield and Aldershot Town. Made over 150+ starts in the football league.
Manager Alan Dowson has been with the K's since January 2007 and brought the club back up to the Premier Division in his first full season. He is a legend at Walton and Hersham where he made over 300 appearances in a ten year spell where he was also manager for two. A fine example for the golden rule of the stability=success rule in football as over the last two season's the club has finished in 7th and 11th place missing out on the play-offs which they had reached in their first season back in the Premier Division in 2010. Despite failure of not reaching the play-offs or promotion the club haven't pushed the panic button and kept faith with their manager which could prove dividends at the end of the season.
The 9-3 victory over Cray has helped The K's move up to third in the goals scored table with only Whitehawk and Concord Rangers above them. Town are in fourth position!!
The five wins The K's have had on the road have come against Concord Rangers, Lowestoft Town, Cray Wanderers, Carshalton Athletic and Bognor Regis Town.
If you fancy a gamble on the game bet365.com make The K's evens favourites with the draw rated at 13/5 and a Town win at 2/1.
COME ON YOU TOWNERS!!!
