RYMAN DIVISION ONE (NORTH) - THE BATTLE TO AVOID THE DROP

It is not known how many teams will drop out of the Ryman Division One (North) at the end of the season but the only safe way to guarantee avoiding relegation is to finish outside of the bottom two relegation places.
At present it's a battle between three teams being Ilford, Great Wakering Rovers and Ware with Cheshunt and Soham Town Rangers hovering above them with a somewhat comfortable six point gap. A few wins from two of the bottom three and both The Ambers and Rangers will be back in the relegation battle so it's important they keep winning or at the most drawing a few games sooner rather than later.

ILFORD 32 5 6 21 34 63 -29 21 51 LWLLWW
GREAT WAKERING ROVERS 33 4 8 21 31 75 -44 20 47 LWDLDL
WARE 32 4 6 22 27 63 -36 18 48 WWLLLL

Ilford have recently lifted themselves out of the bottom of the table with three wins in their last six games. Five of those six games were at home and they now face three difficult away days at Grays Athletic, Enfield Town and Maldon and Tiptree before welcoming Leiston to Cricklefields on Saturday 24th March.

Dan Trenkel's Great Wakering Rover's side narrowly lost at Chatham Town on Tuesday and go to Potters Bar Town tomorrow afternoon before welcoming Tony Faulkner's Cheshunt to the Essex seaside next Saturday. There is a new Assistant Manager in place at Burroughs Park with former player Gary Ansell replacing Danny Heath who has left to concentrate on his job with the Southend United youth academy.

Ware, whom Town visit tomorrow, had two good wins at home to Romford and away at Soham Town Rangers before slumping to four defeats in a row with the last result being a 2-5 loss at Chatham Town.

It's very close between the three teams at present so just a few wins maybe enough to move up the league closer to Cheshunt and Soham Town Rangers.

The game on Saturday 14th April when Ware travel to Cricklefields to face Ilford could be an all important one for both sides.
