ANAGRAM RECORDS TROPHY - UPDATE

The Anagram Records Trophy aka The Capital Counties Feeder Leagues Trophy is now at the Quarter Final stage.

QUARTER FINALS
BALDOCK TOWN v FRENFORD SENIOR
SARRATT V MK WANDERERS
LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY V METROPOLITAN POLICE BUSHEY
RISBOROUGH RANGERS V MANFORD WAY

Last season's winners Letchworth GC are still in with a chance of retaining the Trophy along with fellow Hertfordshire Senior County League side's Sarratt, Baldock Town and Met Police Bushey.

The Spartan South Midlands League is represented by MK Wanderers and Risborough Rangers whilst the Essex Olympian League makes up the other two teams with Frenford Senior and Manford Way.

The tie of the Quarter Finals (all scheduled to be played on Saturday 3rd March) comes at Norton Way where Baldock Town welcome Frenford Senior.

Town are top of the Hertfordshire Senior County League and have only lost one out of their nineteen league games so far with Frenford Senior currently second in the EOFL Premier Division table losing only one of their twelve league games so far. Frenford have two games in hand over current table toppers Kelvedon Hatch and are only one point behind. A great game is expected between two title chasing sides. Frenford beat last season's finalist's Aston Clinton (4-2) in the previous round.

If Letchworth do want to keep their hands on the Trophy they will have to beat Met Police Bushey which is something they haven't done in the team's three meetings so far this season. In the league games Bushey have won 4-2 and the other was a 2-2 draw. They have also met in the Herts FA Senior Centenary Trophy which the police won 4-1 AET.

The Trophy, for local teams at Step 6 and below who aren't able to entre the FA Vase, has some fantastic games year after year. None more so than Tring Athletic's 5-6 victory at Middlesex County Leauge side FC Deportivo Galicia in the first round this season.
