This game was also in the first round of the Charity Cup and had 562 spectators crammed into Goldsdown Road to watch the action. Enfield FC, then members of Ryman Division One (North), fielded a reserve side for the match and were swept aside 4-0 courtesy of goals from Kevin Riley, Billy Cove and Bradley Bortherton (2). Future Towner Jeff Hammond was a member of the Enfield FC side and almost put his then side in the lead in the fifth minute.

The game scheduled for the beginning of November is the first time Enfield Town have met new club Enfield FC 1893 in any sort of fixture competitive - so it should be a game to remember.
