HAREFIELD UNITED NEXT IN MIDDLESEX SENIOR CUP ACTION

Enfield Town welcome Harefield United to Goldsdown Road on Tuesday night for their Middlesex Senior Cup 2nd Round game where the winners will face the winners of the match between AFC Hayes and Wembley.

The Hares received a BYE to get to this stage of the competition. Last year they defeated Hayes & Yeading in the 2nd round before loosing to eventual winners AFC Hayes 2-4 in the Quarter Final. In the 07/08 competition they lost 0-6 at home to Hendon in the 2nd round.

The club who play at Preston Park finished as runners up in the Spartan South Midlands Premier last season to Biggleswade Town on Goal Difference. One more goal would of seen them champions!!! This season they find themselves in 10th position with their form being very up and down. They did have a good run in the FA Cup beating Haringey Borough, gaining some revenge by beating Biggleswade Town, Ryman North Maldon Town and then in the 2nd QR going down to Ryman Premier Maidstone United in front of a bumper crowd of 323. Danny Buckle is their top scorer this season so far.

Like last week in the Championship Manager Cup Steve and Del will look to give some of the squad players a run out. Lets hope we get a win this week!!

UP THE TOWN!!

THE HAWKS & THE MOTORMEN WELCOME LEAGUE GIANTS AND WARE FACE LOCAL DERBY BATTLE

There are no league games this mid-week but there are plenty of Ryman North teams in action. Harlow Town take a welcome break from their relegation battle to entertain a Dagenham & Redbridge side which will probably be made up of reserves and young players in the Essex Senior Cup. Hopefully, A larger than average crowd may attend this match to help the financially troubled Hawks out.
Another league side in Colchester United visit a Ryman North side in Redbridge in the Essex Senior Cup, The Motormen beat Southend Manor 3-4 away from home to get to this stage and will hoping to give the young U's side a good game at Oakside.

In the Championship Manager Cup Concord Rangers host Premier Billericay Town who will be buoyed by their 1-0 win at Tonbridge Angels at the weekend and looking forward to their upcoming FA Trophy game at Rushden & Diamonds. Tilbury travel away from fortress Chadfields across the Dartford bridge into Kent to play Premier Maidstone United and Town's forthcoming opponents on Saturday face a home tie versus fellow Ryman Northers and the all conquering Lowestoft Town.
Ware will be encouraged by their brilliant 3-1 win at GWR on Saturday where Ryan Wade scored his first two goals for the club play in a very local derby at St Margaretsbury in the Hertfordshire Senior Cup and lastly Northwood visit BSS Hampton and Richmond Borough in the Middlesex Senior Cup.

On Wednesday night Waltham Forest will be looking to cause an upset when Canvey Island visit Cricklefields in the Championship Manager cup. It'll be tough for the Stags though as The Islanders are riding high in 4th position in the Premier Division.
