THE DICKIE DAVIES CUP ROUND TWO

You may recall the cold end brought you news of The Dickie Davies Cup which is the Hackney and Leyton Sunday League's League cup. Round One was completed on Sunday when Premier Division Irawo Reds had a comfortable 4-0 win against Division One Old George E2.

Round Two of the competition named in honor of the late Dickie Davies who was registration secretary for the league for many years is to be played on Sunday 15th November with the following ties (Premier Division sides in bold):

MSW v Mile End Colts
Royal Oak (Essex) v Cosmopolitan
Hackney Borough v Albion Manor
O.K.J.H. v Midfield (Hackney)
Red Devils v Florist Arms
Lapton v Wounded Knee
Eureka v Mile End
Clapton Rangers v Lammas
Mustard v Gascoyne
Athletico Angels v Three Compasses
FC Metwin v Adam & Eve
Regents Park Rovers v Black Meteors
Baris Spor v Vio Romania
FC Storm London v AC Islington
Jay Cubed v Bancroft United
Real Romania v Irawo Reds

The tie of the round must be the all Premier Division clash between last years runners up and Real Romania and Irawo Reds. Lapton who have dominated the league in the recent past face the might of the brilliantly named Divison One side Wounded Knee. Other Premier Division sides in action are Albion Manor against Division Three side Hackney Borough, OKJH versus Division Two side Midfield (Hackney), Red Devils versus Division Four Florist Arms who received a bye in the first round, Eureka play Division One Mile End with Clapton Rangers another strong team from the Premier Division playing Lammas of Division Two. Athletico Angels of Division Two will want to cause an upset versus Three Compasses as will Division Four Regents Park Rovers against Black Meteors. The final Premier side travel to Division Two side Jay Cubed.

The final of the competiton will be played at Leyton FC later in the season.
