BID FOR MIDDLESEX CUP GLORY STARTS TOMORROW AT HILLINGDON

Town travel to SSMFL Premier Divsion side Hillingdon Borough tomorrow night in the start for our bid for glory in the Middlesex Senior Cup. Boro were of course a Ryman League side last year and we played them four times on the following occasions:

12/08/2008 - MCC FINAL @ HAYES - WON 4-1 AET (1-1 AT 90 MINS)
30/08/2008 - FA CUP AWAY - LOST 3-1
23/09/2008 - RL1N AWAY - WON 4-1
17/01/2009 - RL1N HOME - WON 3-0

Hillingdon were bottom of the league at the end of the season and were relegated back to the SSMFL for 2009/2010. Since then they have consolidated playing 16 winning 4 drawing 7 and loosing 5 scoring 23 goals and letting in 28 in the league. Last Tuesday they beat Enfield 1893 FC 2-1 in the Middlesex Charity Cup in front of 29 spectators at the Middlesex Stadium and on Saturday drew 1-1 at Kingsbury London Tigers in the league. The top crowd they have played in front of this season was on the 22nd August when they lost 2-1 away at Royston Town in front of 150 people.

Steve and Del (or STEL if you renamed them like John & Edward aka JEDWARD on the X-Factor) will obviously use the game to look at some of the squad players but will still want to win the match and do well going on a run to possible glory in the MSC.

In 2007/2008 when the duo were in charge at Edgware they took them to the Q/F of the MSC beating Kingsbury London Tigers 4-0 away from home (Maharjan and Wallace were among the goals) and Wembley away on penalties after a 2-2 draw (Gunz scored a brace) before being beaten 3-1 at the white lion to Northwood. They got Edgware to the same stage in the glory season in 06/07 beating the Town 2-1 away (Wallace was on the score sheet that night too) and Staines Town at home before loosing to Hayes.

UP THE TOWN!!
