Town defeated by the rebels in final Pre Season Game

Town were defeated last night in the final pre-season game by a scoreline of 2-1. Richard Morton had put Town 1-0 up with a far post header but Slough equalised to make it 1-1 at half time. An 86th Minute winner won the game for the Rebels.

In the SSML Premier Division Brimsdown Rovers beat Hertford Town at Hertingfordbury Park 4-2 thanks to goals from Ex Towner's Ricki Crace (2), Jon Stevenson and Paul Campbell. The crowd was 95.
Hertford Town entertain Newport Pagnell Town of the United Counties League this Friday night as the road to Wembley gets underway with both teams competing in what the home side hope with be an FA Cup glory glory night. Hertford are managed by Pablo Ardilies, His dad the Spurs legend and former FA Cup winner Ossie will be in attendance along with television cameras and the FA Cup trophy itself.

Colney Heath built on Saturday's good result at the Goldsdown to beat Broxbourne Borough 2-1 in front of 63 people.

Top Premier crowd of the night was at Reynold's Field where the crowd of 97 were treated to a thriller. Demoted Hillingdon Borough beating Hanwell Town 3-4 thanks to goals from Gediking, Jolliffe, Ramsey and Williams.

Only 39 people turned up at Herns Lane to watch Langford beat Welwyn 3-2. For a place of Welwyn's size the cold end thinks more people should turn up to support their home town team.

Over in Divsion One London Colney went goal crazy at Ampthill Town winning 7-0. Crowd - 30.

In North Essex The Cold End's Tottenham Hotspur correspondent and Colchester United/Manchester United correspondent took in the game at the Weston Home's community stadium with Col U coming back down to earth with a bump after Saturday. Their former manager Geraint William's new team Leyton Orient beating them 2-1. Finally, The Cold End's miserable record for betting continued with only Braintree obliging a win in the treble. AFC Wimbledon lost 1-0 at Eastbourne Boro and H&Y got a good home point vesus Stevenage. The crowd at Eastbourne for AFC's visit was an impressive 3,108. Top Blue Square crowd of the night was predictably at Kenilworth Road where 7,295 saw the Hatters see off Mansfield Town.
