All is not lost as Braintree Town were 19th after eleven games played last season and ended up in the play-offs and promoted - they are currently 20th in the Vanarama National League and got through to the Emirates FA Cup First Round with a 1-0 win over Bishop's Stortford at the weekend.
The other teams relegated were Taunton Town who were second after 12 games played on 23 points and Dartford were on 15pts in 14th place.
The Peacocks drop in form corresponded with financial problems off the pitch where a winding up petition was issued by HMRC and they were placed under a transfer embargo by the National League.
