ISTHMIAN PREMIER DIVISION FACTS AND FIGURES

Last season's runners up CHATHAM TOWN have only won two of their opening seven league games which is in stark comparison to last season where they won five of their opening seven games. The Chats did show how good they can be with a very impressive 0-1 win at Vanarama South side Welling United in the FA Cup 2nd QR - They host Slough Town, another Step Two side, in their 3rd QR next weekend.

Based on their first four league games their average attendance is 1,455 which is up on last season's figure of 1,351.  If we take a look at their average over the first four games of the 18/19 season their average was just 195 which must mean on increases in crowds they must be one of the most successful football clubs in England in recent times.

With a highly talented squad of players I'm sure they won't stay down in 17th place which they currently occupy.

CHESHUNT finished in 18th place last season narrowly avoiding relegation just four points above Margate in 19th place. They have won one of their opening seven games - four of which have been draws and only two have been defeats. On Saturday they were beaten 3-4 at home to Hashtag United who could of gone 1-5 up at one stage of the game had Sam Higgin's goal not been ruled out for handball - It was a great piece of officiating by the referee and his assistant.

Manager Craig Edwards, who recently managed his 300th Amber's game, will be encouraged by their fightback to make the game closer than The Tags will have wanted it to be.  The crowd of 511 is a decent figure considering Tottenham Hotspur were at home at the same time although it is down on the 670 figure they had for the game against Hashtag United in November last season.

The Hertfordshire team are one of four teams without a league win away from home so far. In fact in the 2024 year they only currently have one win on their travels in fifteen games played - this came on Tuesday 5th March in a 0-3 win at Concord Rangers who were relegated to Step Four.

Since their 0-8 defeat at home to Dover Athletic on the opening day of the season POTTERS BAR TOWN have conceded just six goals in six games.

They host table topper's LEWES next weekend - The Rooks are just one of two clubs who are currently undefeated in the league alongside BILLERICAY TOWN

The eight goals DOVER ATHLETIC scored have helped them to twenty-five goals scored in just seven games. After four seasons of struggle and two relegations The Whites have made a good start to the 24/25 campaign and look like they will be involved at the top of the table - they are currently second in the table and host WINGATE and FINCHLEY in their next game.

The North London side look to be in a season of rebuilding as after reaching the play-off semi-finals last season they lost a number of key players over the summer - What I will say is don't ever write them off! Ogo Obi, who signed from Maidstone United, has been in great form scoring eight goals in ten league and cup games.

It's top v second bottom in tonight's only game as LEWES visit BOWERS & PITSEA. The host's got their first league win of the season on Saturday when they impressively won 1-2 at Dartford with Alfie Evans, a recent signing from CRAY WANDERERS, scoring both goals. Former Glebe boss Craig Nelson has made a great start to his time with The Rooks who have won five and drawn two of their league games so far. They have only scored eleven goals in those games which I'm sure they'll want to improve on. Bowers have only conceded eleven in their games - Could it be low scoring game tonight? It'll be 4-3 either way now I've written that!
