VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE ODDS FOR THE TITLE AVAILABLE

Many bookmakers are offered odds for The Vanarama National League season which kicks off in just over a month. Last season's runner's up Barnet are the 5/1 favourites with freshly relegated from the football league Forest Green Rovers at 9/1. If you fancy an outside bet both teams promoted from the North Division in Boston United and Tamworth are 100/1. The odds below are currently available on skybet.com.

In June last year William Hill got it right with Chesterfield at 7/2 favourites but had Barnet rated at 14/1. Their worst rated four teams were Altrincham, Maidenhead United at 100/1, Aldershot Town at 80/1 and Wealdstone at 66/1 - None of these went down! Oxford City (50/1), Dorking Wanderers (50/1), Kidderminster Harriers (28/1) and Boreham Wood (18/1) ended up suffering the dreaded drop. 

Sutton United and Forest Green Rovers both return to non-league football. The U's are a three season stay in League Two with Rovers down after seven seasons - they played in League One in the 22/23 season alongside Ipswich Town who will be welcoming Liverpool to Portman Road in the opening weekend of the Premier League in August. 

The Omens for a quick return to League Two aren't brilliant for Steve Cotterill and Steve Morrison's team as since the advent of promotion in the 1986/87 season only Lincoln City (87/88), Darlington (89/90), Shrewsbury Town (03/04), Carlisle United (04/05), Bristol Rovers (14/15), Cheltenham Town (15/16) and Grimsby Town (21/22) have made it back at the first attempt.
