THE SEASIDERS V THE JAFFAS - LOCAL DERY THIS TUESDAY EVENING!

The seaside town of Clacton-On-Sea has been all over the news during the last few weeks as well as trending on social media - hopefully this forthcoming week it might be in the news for footballing reasons! 

There are just over three miles between FC Clacton and their local rival's Holland FC on the Essex coast. They meet on Tuesday evening for a pre-season friendly which should be a great occasion at The Rush Green Bowl. 

The Seasiders transferred to the Essex Senior League in 2021 and have since finished 7th, 4th and 17th. This season Mick Hanna is boss assisted by Sean Hillier with Steve Foley as coach. 

Holland FC were formed in 2006 and moved up from the Essex and Suffolk Border Combination to the Eastern Counties League First Division South in 2016. They moved to the North Division in 2022 and last season achieved their best ever finish of 3rd place. In the play-offs they had a crowd of 410 people for the semi-final where they beat Stanway Pegasus 3-0 before 455 saw them lost out to Conard United 1-3 in the final. Manager Luke Watts will be looking to go one better this season!
