PITCHING IN ISTHMIAN NORTH DIVISION

Stowmarket Town are six points adrift of Grays Athletic at the bottom of the Isthmian North Division. They left Step 5 in 2021 and then finished in 4th and 7thof the North Division in 21/22 and 22/23. A cut in the playing budget has left Richard Wilkins with a tough job for the 23/24 campaign. The former Bury Town, Leiston and Needham Market boss was appointed over the summer and had been Assistant at the club since 2021.

Since a 2-2 draw at Ipswich Wanderers in mid October they have 1-5, 0-2 and 0-8 in league games and were well beaten at Needham Market in the Surrey Senior Cup Quarter Final.
