In the race for the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division title both Biggleswade United and FC Romania have dropped down places in the league with three defeats in their last six games. 

Biggleswade United have been defeated by the current top three teams - MK Irish, Real Bedford and St Panteleimon. 

FC Romania have lost against Aylesbury Vale Dynamos, Harpenden Town and Tring Athletic. 

For now St Panteleimon are top but with four and five games in hand Real Bedford and Milton Keynes Irish are arguably the better placed sides.

The Saints have only two league games scheduled between now and the end of November with Real Bedford having six and MK Irish having five so by the time Christmas music is playing in the shops and on the radio there could be a very different look at the top of the table. 

This weekend there is a very interesting and hotly anticipated Isuzu FA Vase First Round game between MK Irish and Real Bedford which will be the third time the two title rival's face each other this season. 

In the opening game of the season Real Bedford won a very tight game 1-0 at McMullen Park in front of 362 people with MK Irish getting some revenge a few weeks later by winning 3-4 in the Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round with a crowd of 252 present.
