With many teams involved in Isuzu FA Trophy action there are only three Isthmian Premier Division games tomorrow.
CONCORD RANGERS v HONCHURCH
Top of the table Hornchurch visit struggling Concord Rangers who got their first away win on Tuesday evening in a 0-1 victory at Haringey Borough. It was also their first clean sheet of the season in their sixteen league and cup games. The Beachboys included recent signings midfielder Montrell Deslandes (Phoenix Sports, Whitstable Town, Margate and Bowers & Pitsea) and striker Duane Acheampong (Hungerford Town and Braintree Town) in their starting XI at Coles Park.
The Urchins are still unbeaten in the league but were made to work for the three points they won on Tuesday evening when they were 0-1 and 1-2 down at home to Folkestone Invicta to come back and win 4-2 with recent signing from Hastings United Femi Akinwande scoring twice. It was only the fourth league game of the season striker Liam Nash (thirteen league goals) hasn't scored in.
Form says the visitors should win this game but with The Beachboys winning on Tuesday evening you just never know?
For anyone going to this game tomorrow the A130 main road onto Canvey will be shut over the weekend with the only route open being the B1014 via Benfleet - Traffic could be busy!!
ENFIELD TOWN v HASHTAG UNITED
The first meeting of these two teams in their history. It's Town's first home game in over a month where they have had a run of six games away from home where they have been knocked out of the Isuzu Trophy and Emirates FA Cup. Both teams recorded creditable 1-1 draws in midweek with Town at third placed Billericay Town and The Tags at home to second placed Chatham Town.
It'll be a return to The Queen Elizabeth Stadium for Percy Kiangebeni and Nathan Smith. PK moved to the join Hashtag in the summer of 2022 after spending two seasons with the North London club were he was a fan's favourite. Smith was with Town from the summer of 2021 to December 2022 before he joined Concord Rangers from where he moved to join Jay Devareux's squad in March 2023.
HASTINGS UNITED v CARSHALTON ATHLETIC
The U's have recently appointed Chris Agutter as new boss following the departure of Paul Barnes who had only been in charge since the summer. Agutter has been boss at The Pilot Field between 2019 to 2021 previously but left in November 2021 to take up an academy coaching roll with football league side Stevenage. He had recently been coaching with the academy at Brighton & Hove Albion. Agutter's return saw the East Sussex side end a run of five league defeats in row with a 1-2 win at Margate with former Worthing striker Davide Rodari scoring an 80th minute winner.
The Robin's are currently in fifth place but are on a run of five league games without a win (three defeats and two draws) - they are unbeaten away from home in five league games with two wins and three draws.
Hastings United have an average league crowd of 1,019 so far with a top crowd of 1,183 against Haringey Borough - Could the return of Agutter bring in a good crowd of over 1,200 on the Sussex coast?
