Biggleswade United currently lead the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division but there are a host of teams behind them with games in hand including Real Bedford, FC Romania and Milton Keynes Irish.
Yesterday saw two important games take place with St Panteleimon winning 1-4 at Real Bedford which is the first since the club were rebranded from Bedford FC in the summer of 2022 they have conceded four goals.
The Saints join a select group of clubs to win against Real Bedford in league fixtures - Wellingborough Whitworth (0-2), Langford (1-3) and Rugby Borough (1-2) all beat the Division One champions last season. Since the change of name the club are yet to be defeated in league fixtures away from home.
Biggleswade United continued their free scoring form with a 1-3 victory at Harpenden Town. United have now hit the back of the net 31 times in just 10 league games. MK Irish won 1-2 at Colney Heath and FC Romania won 1-3 at Shefford Town and Campton.
