Bishop's Stortford 3-0 home win over Brightlingsea Regent saw them take one more step towards the Isthmian title today with their nearest challenger's Hornhchurch drawing 2-2 at Carshalton Athletic who netted the equaliser on 89 minutes.

The Blues have seemingly hit form at the right time of the season winning their last five games in a row without conceding a goal!

Canvey Island v Aveley was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and will be played next Tuesday evening.

In the race for a play off spot it's advantage Cray Wanderers who won 3-5 at Herne Bay with Enfield Town drawing 2-2 at home to local rival's Haringey Borough. As far down as Hastings United, who are currently in 9th position, could finish in fifth place but would need a good number of results to go their way.

At the bottom of the table it was a very important 0-2 win at Kingstonian today which puts them on 39 points and so nearly safe.....but not yet as for either Herne Bay or Bowers & Pitsea to stay they would have to rely on The Ks losing their last two games and them winning both of their games.

The Ks have an away game at play-off chasing Cray Wanderers and a home game against title challenger's Hornhcurch with Bowers away at The Urchins and at home to Hastings United.

Herne Bay go to Wingate & Finchley before hosting title favourites on the final day of the season - It could be a game both teams need to win for totally different reasons. In Herne Bay's last three games there has been an amazing 20 goals!!
