With a twenty point gap between table topper's Erith & Belvedere and currently second placed Rusthall in the Southern Counties East Premier Division it's looks likely that The Deres will be champions come the end of the season although they'll be no celebrations just yet at Park View Road.
Their only league defeat so far came in a home game against Tunbridge Wells in October who won 1-5 with Trevor McCreadie netting four goals.
The race to finish in second place and gain a play-off place looks set to be an exciting one with Deal Town, Stansfeld, Sutton Athletic, Tunbridge Wells and Glebe currently below Phoenix Sports in fifth place.
The Deres get a chance to gain some revenge against Tunbridge Wells when they visit the Culverden Stadium next Tuesday evening. Before that game they are on the road to twelfth placed Kennington.
