Ramsgate, who finished in sixth place last season narrowly missing out on play-off spot, currently lead the way in the Pitching-In Isthmian League South-East Division.
The Rams have lost just one of their nine league games played which came in a recent 2-1 defeat at home to Sheppey United in front of a decent crowd of 637 people. They are closely followed by VCD Athletic with Ashford United and Chatham Town in third and fourth place with two games in hand. Both Ashford United and Chatham Town along with Ramsgate, Beckenham Town (seventh) and Chichester City (eighth) have only lost one game so far. Sittingbourne are in the final play-off place at the moment althought, of course, there is still much football to be played.
Whitehawk, who are currently in sixth, are the only team left without a defeat.
Beckenham Town have only played six league games due to their amazing Emirates FA Cup run which ended yesterday with a home defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge.
Sevenoaks Town historic Cup run also ended yesterday with a 2-0 defeat at Ebbsfleet United - The Oaks are third from bottom in the league having only won one league game so far. Bottom of the table Corinthian are the only side left without a win. They have only one point which came from a 1-1 draw at Chichester City on Saturday 27th August. The top crowd of the season so far came on August Bank Holiday Monday when 1,004 people saw Sheppey United play Sittingbourne. The lowest crowd is currently 69 who saw Three Bridges win 2-0 versus VCD Athletic on Tuesday 16th August.
This Tuesday evening sees a big game take place as Chatham Town host VCD Athletic which sees fourth play second in the table.
On Wednesday Sevenoaks Town host Corinthian - the hosts will be hoping not to suffer from an FA Cup hangover in an important game at the bottom of the table.
