FRAMLINGHAM TOWN AND CORNARD UNITED START THE THURLOW NUNN FIRST DIVISION NORTH SEASON WELL

Framlingham Town and Cornard United have made impressive starts to their seasons with 100% winning records. The Castlemen have have won four games with The Nard winning three games.

Framlingham's next game is at home to Premier Division side Norwich United in the FA Vase on Saturday - they then travel to Cornard United next Tuesday evening who face another Premier Division side in Haverhill Rovers in the Vase at the weekend.

Town were promoted to the TNL Division One from the Suffolk and Ipswich League in 2016 - they spent the 2018/19 season in the Premier Division where they finished bottom and returned to Step Six.

The picturesque Suffolk Town was where BBC comedy The Detectorists was shot so is well worth a visit as the programme written by McKenzie Crook is superb - Worthy of watch if you haven't seen it yet.

Cornard United last played in the Premier Division in the 1995/96 where their relegation ended a five season stay in the top division. They have played in Division One/First Division North/First Division South since with a top placed finish of 9th in the 1998/99 season.

Leiston Reserves are the only other side left unbeaten with two wins and two draws.

Downham Town and Needham Market u23s are currently the only sides without a point on the board - Downham have lost two and The Marketmen three games.
