THURLOW NUNN LEAGUE OPENING FIXTURES

There are just two and a half weeks to go until many of our local leagues get underway with the Thurlow Nunn League publishing their first few weeks fixtures as shown below. The league gets underway with some Friday night football at Aveley FC where May & Baker welcome newly promoted and under new management Cannons Wood FC. 

Then the Premier Division and First Division South get underway with maybe the pick of the fixtures being Soham Town Rangers v Walsham Le Willows. Rangers return to the Eastern Counties League for the first time since 2008 when they were Champions and achieved promotion to Step Four - they have since played in the Southern League, Isthmian League and Northern Premier League playing as far away as Atherstone United, Bedworth Town, Rugby Town, Thamesmead Town, Halesowen Town and Belper Town. 

The three other promoted sides in the First Division South are all at home with Basildon Town hosting Tower Hamlets, NW London at home to Barkingside and Stanway Pegasus at home to Sporting Bengal United. 

In the first midweek there is an interesting local derby fixture as Enfield Borough (ground sharing at Wingate & Finchley) host NW London (who will be playing at Hadley).
