There were some pre-season games yesterday with the following games taking place in London and the surrounding counties. A very strong Ipswich Town team ran in seven goals at Needham Market in a match to mark Armed Forces Day as both teams were lead out by members of The 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery.
Conor Chaplin netted a hat-trick with Kane Vincent-Young and Matt Penney scoring. New signings Greg Leigh (from Morecambe) and Freddie Lapado (from Rotherham United) also scored for The Tractor Boys. The game was played over two 30 minutes halves.
Glebe 6-2 Bridon Ropes (Attendance - 135)
Heacham 0-1 Peterborough Sports
Lingfield 2-1 Croydon
Needham Market 0-7 Ipswich Town
Snodland Town 5-1 Erith & Belvedere
Attendance at Heacham was 255, their second highest ever attendance I believe.
ReplyDeleteThat is a decent crowd for a pre season game in June!
