WAKEBURY FC TO GROUND SHARE AT SOUTHCHURCH PARK

Essex Olympian League side Wakebury Football Club have announced they will be ground-sharing with Essex Senior League side Southend Manor for the 22/23 season.

Wakebury were formed in 2016 and their home pitch was at Elm Road in Shoeburyness with their name being a nod towards GREAT WAKERING and SHOEBURYNESS - They have been playing their EOFL games around 20 miles away at Ramsden Heath so a move back closer to their routes is a really positive move for local football in the Southend area.

They finished in 4th place of the EOFL Division Two last season.

Their local rival's Shoebury Town finished just below them in the table and have also announced a move from Cupid's Corner in Great Wakering to The Ekco Sports & Social club  which is only a stone's throw from Southend United's Roots Hall home.

In last season's local derby games Shoebury Town won 2-4 at Wakebury FC with Wakebury winning 1-2 in the return game.
