JUNIOR MATTI JOINS BRIMSDOWN AS NEW MANAGER

Things are hopefully looking up for Brimsdown FC who had a very difficult 2021/22 season finishing bottom of The Thurlow Nunn First Division South.

The club have appointed a new manager in Junior Matti who was Assistant Manager at Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division Hadley FC and played a huge part in the club's recent promotion to step four and SSMFL Gladwish Challenge Cup win.

Last season Brimsdown had three managers with Ertan Hussein in charge until October when former Stotfold and New River FC manager Marce Collington took over who was replaced by Eni Bezati for the last seventeen games.

Brimsdown used a total of 96 players in their league and cup games last season with Jermaine Drewitt-Baptiste top scorer on 5 goals in 20 games.

It's yet to be announced what league the club will be playing in for the 22/23 season but if they are relegated they will probably find themselves in either the Herts Senior County League Premier Division, Essex Alliance League Premier Division or possibly Spartan South Midlands League Division Two.

GOOD LUCK TO JUNIOR MATTI AND BRIMSDOWN FOR THE FORTHCOMING SEASON.

There is some good news as they have announced a ground share with Wormley Rovers for 22/23 which is much close to their spiritual home than the journey around the M25 to Tilbury FC they have currently been having to make.
