It's still an ultra close race for the title in the Pitching In Isthmian League North Division with just two points currently separating Aveley, Canvey Island and Stowmarket Town.
Both Aveley (away at 16th placed Basildon United) and Canvey Island (home to 10th placed AFC Sudbury) are in action tonight before Aveley host Stowmarket Town on Saturday which is also non-league day with a huge crowd expected at Parkside.
Canvey Island are away at Dereham Town at the weekend who have dropped down to 7th place but still have a chance of making a top five play-off place at the end of the season.
The Islanders will be looking to bounce back after they lost 2-1 at Coggeshall Town on Saturday - Aveley won 0-2 at Felixstowe & Walton United with Stowmarket Town drawing 3-3 at Hashtag United who have moved into the play-off places. The Old Gold and Blacks rescued a point with a goal right at the end of the game from former Cambridge United, Carlisle United and Mansfield Town midfielder Reggie Lamb.
